Be a life saver and GIVE BLOOD!

Our first Blood Drive of the year will take place on Thursday, September 2nd, between the hours of 7:30 am and 2:00 pm.

Eligible students (must be at least 16 years of age and weigh at least 110 lbs.), faculty, parents, and friends are invited to donate. Parents, friends and alumni may come in between the hours of 7:30 am – 2:30 pm. Parents will received 5 volunteer hours for donating. All student donors must complete a consent form and turn it into the school by September 21st. Forms are available in the Central Office, Campus Ministry and from the Religion Teachers. All donors will receive snacks, a pizza lunch, a t-shirt and 5 hours of community service. Donors may also elect to donate platelets or a double red blood cell component (Alyx procedure). These donations earn 10 hours of community service. Each donation earns $20 for the One Blood Scholarship, which will be awarded to a student donor at the end of the year.

If you are a parent and are interested in volunteering please contact Josephine Gonzales at 561-310-1013. If you are a student and interested in donating please contact Mr. Lower at 683-6266 ext. 1049 or jay.lower@cardinalnewman.com.

Remember, every donation can save the lives of 3 people. There is no substitute for human blood. Please consider giving someone the gift of life.

All donors are reminded to drink extra fluids ahead of time and eat a good breakfast the morning of the donation.
