Cardinal Newman High School is excited to celebrate Election Day on November 3rd with an online Mock Presidential Election. This is an opportunity for students to come together and embrace their shared passion for the democratic process regardless of partisanship, promote their civic duty, and carry forth our country’s tradition of tolerance as election results unfold.

Each class is encouraged to maximize voter participation within their ranks and the grade level with the most votes will win a free Dress-down Day. The ballot for president will mirror the one used in Palm Beach County’s General Election and will even include an “other” option for voters who might select a minor party candidate from across the spectrum. An online link will come from Helios Voting and will be available on Monday, November 2nd for each student to cast their secret ballot. Students will have until Tuesday, November 3rd at 2:30pm to vote after which the precinct will close.

Please encourage students to vote and to support one another as we celebrate our democratic institutions and our common values. If you have any questions regarding the election or the process on Tuesday feel free to reach out to me at any time. Mr. Scott Powell, Academic Dean scott.powell@cardinalnewman.com
