Homecoming Week brought students together for one of the most anticipated celebrations of the year. From themed dress-down days and friendly class competitions to a lively pep rally and an “Under the Sea” dance, students found plenty of ways to celebrate being a Crusader.

Student Government representatives planned festivities that encouraged participation across all four grades. Donuts on the front drive, music from the band, and an appearance by Big Blue kicked off a week filled with energy and school pride.

Friendly Competition and Class Pride

“Country vs. Country Club” brought boots and preppy style to campus, while Class Colors Day filled the stands with purple, green, blue, and pink for the Powder Puff flag football competition. The freshman class claimed the championship, earning bragging rights through teamwork and determination.

“Throwback Thursday to 2016” inspired creative outfits, and a cornhole tournament kept the friendly competition going. Friday’s jerseys and pep rally brought everyone together to recognize fall athletes and build excitement for the Homecoming football game.

Celebrating Together

The Crusaders carried that momentum onto the field, leading West Broward 13–0 at halftime before weather forced the game’s postponement. The game was rescheduled for November 2, 2026.

Saturday’s “Under the Sea” Homecoming dance capped the festivities, giving students a chance to celebrate with friends and make lasting memories.

From the hallways to the field and dance floor, Homecoming showcased the student leadership, creativity, and enthusiasm that make Cardinal Newman’s campus life so vibrant.
