Home and School Association

Home and School Association Welcomes YOU!

The Home and School Association organizes various services and social programs for the parents of students. These programs provide support and assistance for the educational activities of their children and many opportunities for dedication and cooperation to develop into enduring friendships. All parents of students enrolled in Cardinal Newman High School are automatically members of the Home and School Association. There are no fees or dues for memberships.

Pick any Event or Activity from the Parent Volunteer Form and get involved! We guarantee you will walk away with not only your hours but true friendships that will last a lifetime!!

Please sign up and support CNHS by using our Scrip program.

We know because we have caught the Crusader Spirit of friendship and so will you!!

Dear Crusader Nation,

To our returning Crusaders, welcome back to the 2022-2023 school year! On behalf of the Home and School Association, we welcome our new Crusaders to our Cardinal Newman family. The Crusader Spirit is contagious, and we look forward to sharing many memories with you.

As parents of a Newman Alum, Ryan ’19, currently a senior at UCF in Orlando, and Jill, a member of the sophomore class, we can assure you that getting involved at Cardinal Newman will make for a terrific experience for you and for your student.

All parents with students enrolled at the school are Home and School Association members. The Home & School Association at Cardinal Newman High School allows parents to become involved with their children’s activities while providing an invaluable service to our school. We welcome and encourage the participation of every parent. Being active will not only be a plus for Cardinal Newman, but you will make lifelong friends!

Each family can either complete twenty-five (25) parent service hours or will be assessed a $250 activity fee. We certainly hope that all families will opt to share their time and talent, as we know this is what benefits the students and the school the most. Attached is the “Willingness to Serve” form, which lists the many volunteer opportunities available to assist you in completing the service hours. Please return this form by Monday, August 8, 2022. You will be notified by the event chair before the scheduled activity. Be sure to track your hours using FACTS. PLEASE note that Parents are responsible for logging in their own hours, which must be completed in FULL by March 20, 2023. Any hours completed after that deadline may be transferred into the next school year. Please contact Mary Martens if you have any questions about the volunteer tracking process.

Visit the school’s website at www.cardinalnewman.com to obtain the latest information about upcoming events. Mary Martens, Director of Development, also does a phenomenal job of informing us by e-mail of the happenings around the school. We encourage you to e-mail her at mmartens@cardinalnewman.com throughout the year with information to forward to the Newman family.

We are excited to begin the 2022-2023 academic year with you and WELCOME ALL our Crusader Families to our “home away from home” as we come alive with “CN Spirit!” If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

God Bless,
