The Home and School Association organizes various services and social programs for the parents of students. These programs provide support and assistance for the educational activities of their children and many opportunities for dedication and cooperation to develop into enduring friendships. All parents of students enrolled in Cardinal Newman High School are automatically members of the Home and School Association. There are no fees or dues for memberships.
Pick any Event or Activity from the Parent Volunteer Form and get involved! We guarantee you will walk away with not only your hours but true friendships that will last a lifetime!!

Dear Crusader Family,
On behalf of the Home and School Association, we welcome our new Crusaders to our Cardinal Newman family. To our returning Crusaders welcome back to the 2020-2021 school year! This year marks our school’s 60th Anniversary and celebrations of this wonderful milestone will begin in August. The Spirit is alive at CRUSADER NATION and we invite you to share in our enthusiasm!!
As parents of three Newman Alum; Stefan (Class of 2016) recent graduate of UCF in Orlando, Isabela (Class of 2018) a junior at USF in Tampa, Natalia (Class of 2020) a freshmen this Fall at PBAU and Nicolas a member of the senior class, we can assure you that getting involved at Cardinal Newman will make for a terrific experience for you and for your child.
All parents with students enrolled at the school are members of the Home and School Association. It is our wish that parents want to be part of their numerous activities their students will be part of while engaging in varied aspects of the school. The Home & School Association at Cardinal Newman High School gives parents the opportunity to become involved with their children’s activities while providing an invaluable service to our school. We welcome and encourage the participation of every parent.
Each family has the option of either completing twenty-five (25) parent service hours or being assessed a $250 Activity Fee. We certainly hope that all families will opt to share their time and talent, as we know this is what benefits the students and the school the most. Back in July you received the “Willingness to Serve” form which lists the many volunteer opportunities available to assist you in completing the service hours. If you have not returned this form, please send it in by Monday, August 17th. You will be notified by the event chair prior to the scheduled activity. Make sure to track your hours using RenWeb. PLEASE note that Parents are responsible for logging in their own hours and this must be completed in FULL by March 15, 2021. Any hours that are completed after that deadline may be transferred over for the next school year. These volunteer opportunities not only assist you in fulfilling your hours, but are a great way to meet your fellow Crusader friends and join our amazing family! Should you have any questions with this volunteer tracking process, please give Mary Martens a call, as she will be happy to help walk you through it.
We would love to have all parents engaged in the many activities at Cardinal Newman. Make it a point to periodically visit the school’s website at www.cardinalnewman.com and navigate to our Home and School Association link to obtain the latest information about upcoming events. If interested, you can view a complete list of Board and Committee Members. Mary Martens, our Director of Development, also does a phenomenal job of keeping us all informed by e-mail of the happenings around the school. We encourage you to e-mail her (firstname.lastname@example.org) throughout the year with information to forward to the Newman family.
