Cardinal Newman High School, located in West Palm Beach, FL is searching for an Assistant Admissions Director beginning in the 2025-2026 Academic Year.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong public speaking skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to create a warm, welcoming environment for prospective families 
  • Advanced computer skills with knowledge and experience using Microsoft Suite, particularly Word and Excel
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to be proactive in maintaining admissions files

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct tours of the campus daily
  • Visit middle schools to do presentations about the school 
  • Answer phone and email inquiries regarding the admissions process
  • Schedule and maintain calendar for admission tours and school visits
  • Organize each candidate’s admission documents and files
  • Maintain admission spreadsheets 
  • Responsible for admissions correspondence letters
  • Maintain interpersonal relationships with prospective families
  • Import applications in Renweb
  • Assist with planning and organizing multiple Admissions events throughout the school year. 
  • Required to attend/work several weekend/evening admissions events throughout the school year

Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and great customer service skills are a top priority
  • Ability to work effectively with Diocesan employees, department heads, representatives of other agencies and the general public
  • Excellent written, verbal and public speaking skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving capacity
  • Strong ethical values

Physical and Work Requirements:

  • Occasional light lifting and carrying of under 15 pounds
  • Occasional moderate carrying and lifting of 15 – 44 pounds
  • Frequent use both hands and fingers (i.e. typing)
  • Frequent extended periods of sitting
  • Occasional periods of standing, kneeling and climbing
  • Occasional ability of minimal hearing (i.e. loud noises, sirens) and routine hearing (i.e. listening to others in conversation)
  • Occasional time spent working closely with others
